Merck for Mothers believes that a more comprehensive and integrated approach to delivering maternity care is required to provide women with quality care. In the US, where Black, American Indian, and Alaskan Native women are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than White women, researchers are calling for a health equity framework for investigating maternal deaths.
